The Technical Side Of Registering & Managing Your Recruitment Agency Website

Created by Robert Garner on Thu Nov 02 2023

Even once your new website has been designed, developed and deployed there’s still a tonne of work beyond this to maintain it. We, as a digital design agency charge an annual fee (like the majority of recruitment website design agencies), which covers a host of components to ensure that your website and emails carry on working. This includes:

  • Registration.
  • Emails.
  • Hosting.
  • Website backup.
  • Bandwidth.
  • General maintenance.
  • Website maintenance.
  • Training.
  • Support.

Registration

We provide full domain name registration from Google Domains and management services of this, including renewal each year. We find that Google Domains is one of the least expensive providers but offer brilliant customer service and SSL certificates with all domains.

Email

We set up your business emails for you with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), which gives you access to of course Gmail for Business but also Google Docs, Google Sheets, Slides, Chat, Drive, Meet and Calendar.

Hosting

We maintain the hosting of your website, giving you a guarantee that it will be live for at least 99.9% of the time. We achieve this by hosting all of our websites in a data centre in Western Europe with a second backup data centre also located in Europe in case the main centre goes down. This also ensures high availability and speed when delivering your website.

If your recruitment website receives a high amount of traffic from other geographical regions such as North America, Asia or Australia then we can specify the primary or secondary location to be designated there.

All of our websites are hosted with Google Hosting and maintained fully by our UK based team. Your recruitment website will be hosted on virtual machines allowing it to quickly scale up if you see a particular spike in traffic for some reason, meaning your website won’t go down and will easily handle those extra requests.

All of our websites are provided with an SSL certificate, giving you an https website URL and thereby encrypting any communications sent via your website so attackers can’t steal communicated data and helping to prevent multiple kinds of cyber attacks

Website backup

We keep backups of your agency website code on Microsoft GitHub, in private & secure repositories ensuring if anything does go wrong we can quickly deploy a new website for the business. We also keep secure backups of all website email communications, blog, testimonial, team and vacancy content.

Bandwidth

Your recruitment website and data is hosted & held with Google Hosting & Google Cloud on virtual machines, allowing your recruitment website to scale up to larger machines if you experience a sudden spike in traffic. This means your website won’t go down during high traffic periods and you won’t lose out on business! Our bandwidth is unmetered and is included as part of our hosting package so you won’t experience any unexpected bills for being popular.

Maintenance

All of our websites are built using Angular and TypeScript in the front end and Google Firebase and Node.js or .Net & C# on the back end. We’ve built our own content management system, allowing you to create, update or delete content easily in your blogs, vacancy, team and testimonial pages of your recruitment website.

Angular is used by websites such as Gmail, Samsung, IBM, The Guardian, Forbes, Upwork, PayPal, YouTube plus thousands more. Angular does require an update once every 6 months to ensure it’s fully up to date and secure - don’t worry we take care of this for you. It takes a lot less maintenance than WordPress websites and tends to be a lot more secure.

Training

The content management system shipped with your recruitment website is easy to use and intuitive but we’re always happy to train up any new members of staff on how to use the functionality, if needed,

Support

We understand sometimes things do go wrong so if you do have any issues then you can always reach us over the telephone, by text, via WhatsApp, over email or on LinkedIn. We’re also happy to discuss adding any extra pages, functionality or integrations at a later stage as your recruitment agency grows.
